ORGANIZATION 

The EUROPEAN YOUTH CUP BOULDER 2020 in Trondheim, Norway is organized by the Norwegian Climbing Federation (NCF) and Trondheim Climbing Club.

The EYC BOULDER allocated by the IFSC Europe in accordance with the IFSC general and boulder regulations and the European Youth Cup Bouldering rules.

TRAVELLING TO TRONDHEIM

Norway’s third biggest city Trondheim is located in the middle of the country and surrounded by beautiful nature. Besides offering great opportunities for sightseeing attractions like the Nidaros Cathedral and characteristic colourful wooden houses, and possibilities for trying out many restaurants serving tasty local food, Trondheim is located between worldwide known climbing destinations as Flatanger for sportsclimbing as well as Harbak and Vingsand for bouldering.

TRAVELLING BY PLANE

To Trondheim airport Værnes (TRD) which is 30 km located from Trondheim.
There are direct flights to Værnes (TRD) from the following airports in Europe: Alicante, Amsterdam, Gdansk, Helsinki, Krakow, Copenhagen, London, Riga and Stockholm. 
N.B.! Changes in airline routes may appear.

There are several direct flights to the capital, Oslo airport Gardermoen (OSL), from airports in Europe. From Oslo Airport Gardermoen there are direct flights to Trondheim airport Værnes, with both airlines SAS and Norwegian, with hourly flights.

ACCOMMODATION

The official hotel for EYC Trondheim 2020 is Quality Hotel Panorama, which is located 5 km from the competition venue. We recommend that all teams book their accommodation here, as it is the point for transport and banquet. We can offer a special EYC 2020 price for your stay, and for the banquet on Friday evening.

The banquet on Friday is a social happening where all the teams can get to know each other and enjoy good food for a good price. The price for the banquet will be posted later in the event program.

Note! Participants who are NOT staying at Quality Hotel Panorama must send an email to vivi@klatring.no to book place for the banquet. Deadline for this booking is March 15th, and the registration is binding. 

SHUTTLE BUS

For the competition, a shuttle bus will be set up between the Quality Hotel Panorama and the venue. Prices and schedule for the shuttle bus will posted later in the event program.

On arrival, a shuttle bus will be set up from the airport to the hotel. Accordingly, a shuttle bus will be set up between the competition venue to the airport on departure. Prices and schedule for this will be posted later in the event program.

TEAM QUOTAS & RULES

LICENSES

Only competitors and team officials holding a valid IFSC international license are allowed to register for the competition.

REGISTRATION OF TEAM OFFICIALS AND COMPETITORS:

3.2.1 European member federations may register, within statutory deadlines, all their team officials who
shall be granted free entry into the competition venue. These officials shall be registered via the IFSC website, must be in possession of a valid international licence and specifically nominated for one of the following roles:

a) One (1) Head of Delegation

b) Three (3) coaches

c) Three (3) qualified medical or paramedical personnel

TEAM QUOTA

3.2.2 Subject to article 2.2., member federations shall be permitted to register on the official IFSC registration form a National Team comprising (where applicable)

a) Four (4) official team members in each category in each age group of each discipline of the competition. The hosting country shall be entitled to register two (2) more competitors in each age group and category
b) Any current Adult/Youth World/European Champions (who shall be registered for the Discipline in which they are champion) and any current Adult/Youth Overall World/European Champions.

Registration fees:

25 EUR for each competitor. Please pay the registration fee of 20 EUR cash at the registration desk on Friday 24th of April 2020. 5 EUR per competitor will be charged the national federation, by IFSC Europe.  For the registration on Friday it is necessary for all team managers to show the passports or ID-cards of their competitors.
